Pisces the Sign of Duplication

Pink Lotus

We must distinguish between two halves which comprise a whole and two wholes which comprise a pair. In the zodiac, we have two double signs, Gemini and Libra, and one duplicate sign, Pisces. The difference between a double sign and a duplicate sign is that one can’t have only one twin or one scale but one can have only one fish.

According to ancient Hebrew Astronomical calculations the Sun is retrograde in Pisces seven times in nineteen years: specifically, in the 19 year cycle, the 3rd, 6th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th, and 19th year. The years during which the Sun is retrograde are called leap years. When the sun is retrograde it’s sojourn in Pisces is 59 days (30 days & 29 days) long. Adar in a non-leap year has only 29 days. In a leap year Adar A has 30 days and Adar B has 29 days. This peculiarity is depicted in the traditional Pisces glyph: one fish is facing the forward direction and the second fish is facing the backward direction. The Pisces glyph highlights the contrast between the two fish just like the Yin/Yang sign.

Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and it has one foot in the spiritual realm and one foot in the physical world. People born under the sign of Pisces, whether as their Sun sign (Month), Moon sign (Day) or Ascendant (Hour), live simultaneously in the spiritual realm and physical world. In essence they are by nature a bridge between the two worlds.

Pisces is a Water Sign ruled by Jupiter the Star of Abundance and co-ruled by Neptune the Star of Spirituality. Just like the vast expansions of the ocean which is full of hidden treasures, Pisces people have many hidden powers and talents.
